5-2-22    THOUGHTS

This will be my
last post until May 16.  Pray for our safety and health as we travel.

We share one of the great passage areas in the Bible this morning.  The power and assurance behind these words is “the God of peace”!  Our Creator wants us to be peaceful, rejoicing, praying children.  Our names are in His book of life!   We are encouraged to dwell on whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute and things worthy of praise.  If my life is immersed in this thinking from God, I should possess the “peace that passes understanding.”
I want this in my life, don’t you?  It is not to be claimed by knowing about it, but by living it!
I pray for us all!

Php 4:1-9     Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. 2  I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord. 3  Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. 4  Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5  Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.  6  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9  The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Read 2Pet 1: 1-11.    God surely intends to bless us doesn’t He?

My Prayer:
Help us, O God, to not chase more life in the wrong places.   Guide our every thought and step to follow your way.  Focus our minds and hearts to dwell in your presence continually.  May we see the good as we walk through this life and rejoice in it.  Grant us your peace O God.  Cause our lips to boldly and joyfully speak the Good News of Jesus.   May we be with you eternally.

In the name of our Savior,   Amen.
